Welcome to Fort William First Nations Health Center

Our mission is to provide support, information and activities to individuals, families, and the entire community that will enable everyone to develop a respect for their culture, mind, body, spirit, and emotion.


Community Health Program

The Community Health Program provides service to all band

members of all ages. There is a full time community Health Nurse

on staff working jointly with a community health representative and

health worker.

Services provided are assessment, referral and health promotion,

with a goal in mind of achieving a healthier lifestyle.

The center has a fully equipped clinic to provide limited nursing

services to Band Members.

Health Promotion clinics are offered on an on-going basis.

We also provide information through monthly displays and when

requested by clients.

 

Family Support Program

 

The Fort William First Nation Family Support Program provides

service to Band Members for Family Support

 

Prevention and Child Protection

Family Support services help to strengthen families by

providing support which enables the family to provide and care

for their own children, These services include Intake, Individual

support, referrals, individual assessment, planning and advocacy.

 

Prevention Services

Recognizes community strengths and addresses identified

family and community needs.

 

Child Protection Services

Establishes the responsibility of the Band and Delico

with respect to reporting known and suspected child abuse.
